This is a great card for cameras that use smartmedia, the once great format in camera storage now the relative no-one wants to talk to.
Now smartmedia is no longer made as the mximum you can get is 128MB but even on my fuji finepix 6900 at the highest resolution 6MP (but not in raw format), it's nearly the same as two 36 capacity films. So even a 128MB is a format that is capable of a family holiday at high resolution.

A Lot of new cameras state 16MPixel,10MP, 6MP and even new mobile phones state 5MP but if the lens and sensor are of poor quality then you might as well have a 1MP camera with a quality lens and sensor, which gives the same quality. You are wasting the memory card and memory.

So buy a quality camera and lens not the Mega Pixels they state you'll get a far better picture. Such as my old Kodak DC280 which only had a 2 Megapixel sensor printed full A4 pictures at photo quality images no problem on photo glossy paper on a decent printer you don't realy need more unless you go for A3+ or need to zoom in to a part of the image.

So beware of just buying Megapixels as the manufactures say they are higher (and better) then the others. Check reviews and users reviews first.

Again this is a great card if you can get it. Campain the manufactures to agin make these cards as I said earlier a 128MB can hold the same images as a two 36 capacity film camera.

I hope this helps new buyers.

Nothing to say against it posted on 2004-09-01
I bought this with my 2MP digital camera because it seemed like a 'middle of the road' choice in storage media, both in terms of cost and size. I can't say anything bad about it - in my camera it stores 260 images at normal quality 1600x1200, but I can also use it to store MP3s for my player, too, with a quick shuffle of the folders in Windows, which makes it a versatile tool into the bargain.
At 20 quid, it's well-priced, very slim, and robust. Smiles all round, really.

This card has worked with no problems since I bought it and continues to give me no troubles. Giving me near enough to 89 times the amount storage on a floppy disk means I no longer use floppies. I've uninstalled my floppy drive and simply use the card with a multi-card reader from now on.
Not only is it faster than floppy it's also safer (not likely to fail or corrupt) and is about a quarter of the size.

This is a very cheap card. Don't let that put you off! It's all in the brand name. And that's as far as it goes.

In my opinion, this card is of the highest quality, and you will not get a better quality card if you pay more. Looking for smartmedia? Buy this one.
