Stylish but offers little protection posted on 2006-04-17
I bought the case for my Sony P200 camera and it looks very stylish. The top flap, however, leaves the camera still open to dust, grit, grime, etc. I obtained a refund and instead purchased a Lowepro D-Res 9 which is much more practical. The Lowepro was significantly cheaper, provides a zip around the top flap ensuring the camera is totally enclosed and is made from a sturdier material which is also water-resistant.

After many hours searching for the most recommended case for my Sony DSC-P200 (and many conflicting sites - including Sony) I settled for this case as it seemed to be suitable and to my style. It fits my camera perfectly and is a good size for carrying in your hand. There is a handy pocket on the outside for an extra memory stick/battery though these would need to be in protective packets as the pocket is open mesh. This slightly concerns me as small particles can get into this pocket and possibly damage the stick/battery connector - especially on the beach! It also means your accessories are on display to potential thieves.
While I like this case and would recommend it for a DSC-P200, I am still annoyed that Sony don't seem to think that protective cases for their equipment are essential rather than optional.
 
Good design, great materials - badge fell off though! posted on 2005-09-13
This is one sleek looking case. The materials are of top quality and the velvet feeling material inside will make sure that your P200 will remain as crisp and scratch free as when you buy it. The pouch on the front is very handy for your spare battery and/or memory sticks. However, I'm not all that fussed on the 'netting' style material as this allows the items stored to be seen. This ruins the image of the good looking case - each to their own on that one though.
The strap it comes with, embodied with the cybershot text looks the business!
The one problem I have with it though, is that the badge fell off! Which is a pain but the case still looks ok. I hope that this is the case for only me as I've never had any complaints with Sony products in the past.
So, would I buy this case again? Probably yes, even though the badge fell off which should never happen.

I puchased the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P200 Digital Camera and bought this camera case that fits perfectly for it. It has an apartment in the front where you can store a spare memory stick even a battery.
I would recommend buying this camera case if you purchase the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P200 Digital Camera or a camera that is similar because it fits perfectly, protects the camera, and isn't bulky at all.

I purchased this to fit my Sony DSC-P150 and it does a great job by offering good protection and visual appeal. It also contains room for a memory stick to be held as well. Got a P-100 or P150? Get this.....it is worth it.
