There are cheaper cards available but the stories of failures and loss of precious photos were enough to convince me to buy a well known brand. It's actually a Lexar card branded as Kodak and is warrantied for 5 years.
512mb is plenty for me and my camera - between 243 and 1176 pictures depending on mp and compression settings.
At this price I would say that it is great value when compared to some other makes or high street stores.
The card is easy to install, despite the contemptuous large packaging for such a small item. though i would imagine this would vary depending on what camera you're using. The overall concensus is that you shouldn't be too heavy handed whilst handling the card and installing it. The item comes with a leaflet stating it has a 5 year warranty, whether this is true remains to be seen. But Kodak is a pretty mainstream high quality company, so might be likely! The price seems quite fair for the item, though it when it comes to items like these, it is always nice to have more more more memory for your money!
