Customer Reviews for Canon DCC-300 Soft Case For PowerShot A610, A620, A630 & A640
I agree, too snug for comfort

The DCC-300 is certainly too snug for a PowerShot A650; as J Maddocks mentions, the top edge of the case nudges the zoom lever on the grip - not a good resting position for it. Apart from this, there is little room for anything else apart from a spare SD card (and squeezing a set of 4 AA's in too would be very tight indeed, not to mention impractical).
My old Canon PS600 case, bought for a PowerShot A80 a few years ago (and still available from Amazon), is a rather better fit - although it could be that a few years of use have worn it in well enough to fit the A650. The softer, smarter fabric makes it a better buy anyway. But being of a similar design to the DCC-300, it still doesn't leave much room for batteries and wot-not.
I don't tend to drop cameras, but neither the DCC-300 nor the PS600 provide much cushioning; anything more than a small drop could result in damage. They're not all-weather cases either, providing little protection against anything heavier than drizzle.
Although it seems wise to buy a Canon case for a Canon camera, the DCC-300 is tight and inflexible, not particularly neatly finished, and to my eyes the fabric looks pretty cheap (I'll try to submit a clearer photo than Amazon's) - in other words, not to be recommended. I have heard good things about Crumpler bags and cases from several people, and the reviews are glowing; I'm sure they'll do better than this poor effort from Canon.
Good case but..

I've got a powershot A610. This case fits very nicely and looks great. As for protection the case protects from scraches and light falls. Improvements on this would be good. The pouch holds 4 AA batterys quite nicely, you could possibly get a spare sd card in there but nothing else. Im glad with the purchase tho a flashy case leads to it getting stolen and the protectability could be improved apart from that theres not much better on the market which would give the same fit
Thank you.
Snug?

I got the Canon case free with my Ebay purchase and it works wonderfully with the A640 I have. It only fits stupidly snugly if you put the camera in the WRONG WAY ROUND (the A620-650 all have quite a large grip) so the grip is supposed to be in the wider opening. This also means taking the camera out of the case for a pic is easy peasy; the grip makes it ready to go.
I've got a quad of AA batteries in the front pouch too so it's also handy for a battery holder (it is rather tight though)
In all a bit over-priced but it looks rather nice and will keep your camera scratch free & cushy :D
Too snug for comfort.

The case is compact & durable however, I question the suitabality for the A630. It fits snugly, but I am worried about the way the Zoom Lever is nudged each time the camera is taken out or replaced. Also, I won't be putting batteries in the front of the case - this would make the fit just too snug.
