I have had a couple of these chargers for about a year now and have been extremely satisfied.

You can charge either AA or AAA (but not a mix) in a batch of 2 or 4.

2700 AA's only take a couple of hours for a full charge, but I have had good life out of an active speaker system (6 AA's) from a sub 1 hour charge.

Worth noting that whilst the car charging option is via a separate cable, the standard UK 3 pin 240V plug is part of the main unit. So you will not be able to use a large adapter in the wall socket next to the one this charger occupies.

Overall, a great choice - especially at the price offered.

Included batteries run down within a #week# when used with a small portable radio. My much older charger with ancient sanyo batteries (rated much lower mAh) will run the same radio for literally months.
Another thing: these batteries are slightly oversized (in width and possibly length also) so if your gadget has tight battery space, these won't fit in.
Useless.

Bought in July 07; April 08 - one of the pins has snapped off. Another useless Uniross product - I should have learnt the first time.

I used the original version of this for about a year and it was fine. In the last few months however, it has become less and less effective. The batteries now barely hold their charge at all. Which is a shame, because it was good whist it lasted.

This charger, at this price - it includes four cells as well - is just very good value. It does the job and works well for me. I use a flash card digital audio recorder in my work as a sound recordist, and it runs that for a full recording session, and with a spare set of cells, one set working and one set charging I never have to worry about mains supplies whilst on a job.
