I have had this camera for over a year now, and I have not had any problems with it. The picture quality in daylight is excellent, and it only struggles with zoomed indoors shots. I like the easy editing in camera- a bit of trimming can make all the difference in getting a good shot.
My only minor problem is that the settings wheel turns too easily, and you have to check you haven't moved away from the desired program.
It is a good sturdy camera for holiday travel- I have no signs of wear
after all this time, but I do use the leather case available separately.

I really love my camera. I've had it for a year and a half now and it's fantastic for taking fun photos of my nights out with friends. The picture quality is good and the flash is bright enough to take photos in very dark conditions - although when it's dark you have to hope you have a good aim as there is no viewfinder and the screen is too dark to see where you are pointing exactly!

Another good thing is the internal zoom. Nothing projects out from the camera which I think is fantastic as I know many friends with external zooms who have damaged their cameras and the zoom won't come out anymore.

I have also had a few photos with the "bubbles" in but I think it's where the flash catches flecks of dust. It's nothing to do with the actual camera because the dots are never in the same place and not in all photos.

Overall, it's a fun camera for people who want to take nice photos to remind them of great days out. It's not for serious photographers - that's what SLR cameras are for!
 
Not great for concerts and night photograghy posted on 2008-06-08
This camera from the outside looks great! Problems occur as soon as you turn this thing on. For a young male who mainly takes his camera out on nights out and to concerts alot of my snapping is done at night...obviously. I just cannot take a decent photo with this camera at night!
As previous reviews state, bubbles do occur on the odd picture, which i could understand if it was raining...! Next comes the fiddling through different settings to try and get a decent photo of your favourite artist on stage! Not fun TRYING to find a good setting just to get blurry images whilst missing half the concert. The zoom is useless too at night.
I wanted to write for anyone thinking of buying this camera as I'm sure there is people out there with similar interests and I wish I had read this article before purchasing this camera.
The only thing I can give this camera credit for it its looks and takes good photos in daylight (which my phone camera can do!)

I have loved using this camera. The picture quality is brilliant and I have been astounded at some of the shots I have been able to get with it, particularly using the zoom.... I've used in various different setting, sports competitions, touristy outings, nights out etc and havent been disappointed at all by picture quality. Add to that the easily pocketable style and how good it looks and you've got a winner.
I was however disappointed with the length of battery time compared to some of the previous digital cameras I've owned. I used it when I went to paris and it barely lasted the day out. (Though admittedly my younger sister did get somewhat snap happy with it, I have known other models to last two days of the same treatment.) I'd suggest it possibly isnt the best camera for a long day out or if you are going away and unsure what access you'll have to plugs.

bought it as a present its a pleasing purchase looks really good aswell and being able to listen to mp3s and videos is a bonus definitely one for those gadget heads.
