Customer Reviews for Uniross Hybrio 4 AA 2100mAh Batteries
Misleading cost -- beware the shipping charges posted on 2008-07-31
These batteries look like great value (currently £1.99), but only because the shipping charges are outrageous (£4.50 per pack). After you've factored in shipping, you're likely to be able to find them cheaper elsewhere, especially if you're buying a few packs.

best rechargeable AA I've used posted on 2008-05-04
I've bought about 5 packs of these so far, and I think they're great and I plan to replace all my batteries with these. I use them mainly in my Canon 580 EX-II flashgun. The spare sets in my camera bag lasts for weeks without problem. Using them in a nightlight for the kids room lasts a couple of months, whilst an ordinary set of (higher capacity) NiMH would normally last a week.

Regardless of the batteries you use, I highly recommend getting a decent charger than monitors the batteries though during and stop when fully charged, otherwise you can easily damage the batteries by over-charging. Damaged batteries will have shorter shelf life and lower capacity.

Not up to spec posted on 2008-03-10
1. Out of 8 batteries bought none were charged on arrival.
2. After recharging with Uniross charger sold with them none had shelf life longer than 1 month.
3. These are a great disappointment.

Solid performers a caveat posted on 2008-01-03
I bought these for the shelf life, despite them being higher price than some other rechargeables; this is all well and good but I noticed the packaging also pushing the instant charge in that out of the packet they could be used! Well be warned, I bought a new camera and naively took a pack of four of these to the football only to find that between four batteries I couldn't take a single shot.

My advice is good on the shelf life, but always charge first!

Perfect rechargeables posted on 2007-10-19
These batteries don't self discharge as fast as normal Hi-Mh batteries. They last ages in my digital camera and even after a year of storage will still hold about 70% of charge (unlike others which will go as flat as a pancake after about 2 months). Performance is better than my Uniross 2700 mAh even though thay are 2100 mAh. Just make sure you use the correct charger otherwise you will kill them. I use a Minwa Intercept charger MW 6278. You can pick one up for about £17 on Amazon and it even has a cooling fan to protect your batteries from overheating. The original Uniross chargers are OK but very basic and don't perform as well as the Minwa.
