I recieved this cameraas a gift, and it is a super little camera. has survived numerous drops and bounces. Screen is crystal Clear and the best shot mode is excellent for the more demanding shots.

Video quality is very good.

Overall it is a excellent camera. it is very sturdy and great value for money.

only problem is that the pc connection looks like a mini usb connection but unfortunatly only casio wires fit this slot. Seems bad form by the manufacturer, to use a mini usb cable type cpnnection but change the connecton head so only official wires work with it.

I bought this camera for my wife to replace the Olympus digital camera that our 4-year old daughter dropped.

I won't give any sort of detailed review about the camera as I haven't really used it myself but the photographs that my wife has taken are really very good with great colours and detail. Close-up photos are particularly impressive with excellent detail and no blurring. In fact the photographs produced by this camera are more-or-less as good in terms of detail, focus and colour as those from my Canon Ixus 860 IS which cost nearly 3 times as much.

Nuff said really.
 
Good...while it lasts!!Buzzing noises??? posted on 2008-06-04
Bought this little beauty in february 08...and it conked out last week.No actual reason, apparently, as I've only actually used it about 5 times.To be fair it worked without any bother, the picture quality is immense,charges easily(bang it on overnight and it lasts for a good time)and its small enough to take along anywhere, yet big enough not to lose.
Problem is: Having not used it for about 2 weeks(when it still operated as it should), I switched it on to find that the zoom-bit came out, made a few buzzing noises, then the cam,era switched itself off.With the zoom-bit still out.Have tried several batteries, which doesnt make a difference, and the thing just seems to be knackered.
Back to the shop tomoro, see what they say.Will update.

Bought this camera about 2 months ago , only second time I tried to charge it and the red light keeps flashing on the charger. Left it over night still not charged ! Apart from that the camera is good.

For the current Amazon price this is a bit of a bargain. The camera has a host of features that allow you a certain amount of creative control over pics. For a grab and shoot camera this one takes some beating in most light conditions.

Unfortunately in nightclubs/bars or anywhere in doors - even with the Best Shot feature - the results are limited and usually either bleached out due to a severe flash or far too dark and grainy due to not enough light. There is a soft flash function but any difference it makes is not noticeable to me.

ISO is up to 400 which to me is far too limiting especially with ANY indoor shots.

Outside this camera excels. The colours are clear, defined and the 7.2 megapixels allow you top quality results.

The functions on the camera are clear and easy to follow and with a couple of test shots you should be able to get the best performance out of this.

I like the camera a lot; it looks good, has decent features and a range of facilities that allow a certain creative control but is limited in some of the areas I was relying on it most for.

In summary if you like the look of this sexy little gadget and are not looking to take too many indoor shots then you couldn't ask for a better grab shot camera.
