Stunning Micro 4/3 Camera November 11, 2009

As the owner of an Olympus Pen and some m4/3 lenses (as well as an adaptor for my Nikon glass) I wanted this camera body so I have a second combo always ready for use. The built-in flash and better screen, plus the option of an electronic viewfinder, swayed my decision to this rather than another E-P1 body or wait for the (expensive and only available kitted, still with low res screen) E-P2. Stunning in appearance, discreet and easy to use, it is an exceptionally polished product, with instantaneous focus (like a DSLR and unlike the Pen) and a genuine wieldiness that puts you in mind of Contax or Leica rangefinders rather than digital compacts. Even the iA mode works beautifully, quickly, and simply put doesn't get in the way of taking pictures. A terrific effort and highly recommended.

what can I say... I bought the Olympus EP-1 which is a great micro 4/3rds Camera but is in my opinion not as good as the Lumix GF-1... so I bought this one as well and the Olympus is now a backup... the good thing is that all lenses and accessories are interchangeable between them so saving lots of cash.
I have had excellent results and the ability to choose manual settings is very useful. I used to carry around a ton of pro Nikon stuff for years but now retired I find this system is a doddle.. although not intended to match pro systems by any means it is a very good lightweight alternative and the ability to make A3 prints while keeping detail without Photoshop enhancements is amazing.
I would highly recommend this Camera as a quality, pocketable unit with a lot of pro features and superb results depending on the Lens used.
