Amazing little camera June 30, 2010

I purchased this as a handy camera to fit in my pocket. I reviewed all the options including the PEN and this came out top. I am a professional photographer with £30K of Hasselblad gear and a Nikon D2X. I hardly ever use the Nikon now as I think the GF1 is better for flexibility (1.7 F-stop is amazing) and I've used it on pro shoots to capture 'of the moment' shots. I always shoot in RAW and I have also used it to shoot Video, though the colour balance was not great (it struggled to cope with a situation where there were indoor lights mixing with daylight - which I think any camera would) - so converted to black and white which was fine. A real joy after having a camera with digital zoom - fixed excellent glass is the only way.
Great little camera and I highly recommend it. A camera I feel attached to and look forward to shooting with for many years to come.

I think this is the ultimate travel camera. The f1.7 lens is amazing with nice smooth bokeh, coupled with the great sensor in the GF1 the pictures produced are of professional quality. Love it.
