I had a canon ixus 70 which i absolutely loved, but then lost. I bought the most recent canon ixus to replace it and just did not like it at all, so continued looking. I saw this camera in the adverts for sponsoring Hollyoaks and thought I'd try it as they seemed to be saying it was good for snapping pictures while out with friends, etc.
It's perfect for what I wanted. The pictures are really lovely quality and it has lots of scene settings, and an auto scene selector so it always makes sure you take the best possible picture.
The camera is small and light, thankfully fits in my old canon camera case and is just generally fantastic!
Great price for a fantastic camera. Very pleased!

Having used my last camera every day for five years and worn it out{"!!!]this one has surprised me.It`s easier to use,and does what Iwant a lot simplier than my earlier model, a nikon coolpix s.200.
I have used it nearly every day since it arrived,on time,and packed properly,and I find it just right.I`m not a camera fanatic,and I dont understand all the settings,but I still know what I want to do with it,
and this one`s easier to work.My hands do shake a lot,and this one is farf better than the last.Good for you,Nikon,and of course,Amazon.Bob.

After going on holiday with my previous camera and a friend commenting on how huge and heavy it was, I decided that a new one was called for. My friend had this Nikon S3000 camera so I got to play with it for a while and liked what I saw. I purchased the red version. It's great! Button are easy to use and its so compact. Clear screen for reviewing photos. When in the menu you can soften features and heaps of other stuff that I'm still discovering! The 4x optical zoom is surprisingly good. I wanted more but the cost came into it. It takes the SDHC cards so have purchased a 8gb one to keep me going for a while. You can charge the camera by USB on your laptop or by the supplied plug. Overall I am really pleased with this camera and would recommend it.

I got this camera for my birthday and did the homework on all current cameras on the market. I am very pleased with it. I haven't found any downsides to it yet and I just took 300 pictures on holiday, so it's been used a lot over the past weeks. The pictures quality is amazing. I haven't got a steady hand, but not one picture came out blurry.
So definately a good choice if you're looking for a new camera.

Excellent! Perfect little camera. Simple to use and easy to carry. Produces quality pictures with a clear LCD screen. And the colour is stunning. The battery life is good and generally lasts 2-3 days on general usage, however there is no indicator to tell you the level of the battery life so a bit of guess work is required. Other than that, an amazing buy!!
